Eras

Eras

The division of history is mostly based on events on the New Continent. All information in this wiki refers to the situation during the Dark Era unless stated otherwise.

I: Elven Era

During this Era the Elves dominate the Old Continent. No other Species forms civilisations yet.

Beginning: Lizardfolk are the first to establish a civilisation on the Old Continent.
Middle: The first Elven civilisations form on the New Continent.
End: War of the Elves splits of the Elves in High Elves and Dark Elves. Elves try to enslave Orcs and make them fight for them leading to the creation of the Red Orcs.; First Humans appear on the Southern Continent.

II: Archaic Era

This Era is mostly defined by the presence of the Gods. They have chosen Humans as their favourite subjects because they combine intelligence with devotion.

Beginning: First establishment of Human civilisation in the centre of the New Continent.
Middle: Human civilisation flourishes under the guidance of the Gods to the point where they almost exceed the Elves.
End: Most of the Gods get captured by the Angels. Human civilisation almost collapses entirely.

III: Classic Era

Many civilisations of different Species appear all over the New Continent and peak during the Era. Most schools of Magic are also established during this Era as well as other important inventions.

Beginning: Establishment of new Human civilisations in the East of the New Continent.
Middle: Human civilisation in the Centre of the New Continent recovers and manages to build trade relations with the Human civilisations in the East.
End: Dwarves disappear from the New Continent after long wars with Elves and Orcs. As part of this conflict trade networks though the New Continent collapse and the entire Continents economy declines sharply.

IV: Dark Era

This Era is defined by constant conflicts between a lot of different civilisations and Species where none of them emerge as clear victors.

All Species are present during this Era. Some don’t come into existence before it while others go extinct after it.

Beginning: Establishment of new Human civilisations in the West and South of the New Continent.
Middle: Humans try conquering nearby civilisations but are never able to hold on to their conquests long term.
End: A wave of Demonic attacks sweep over most of the New Continent.

With their high intelligence and pressure though constant wars Humans rapidly improve their military technology to a level that surpasses every other Species, including Elves who are reluctant to adopt new technologies and strategies.

Beginning: Humans conquer most of the New Continent with the use of gunpowder weapons.
Middle: Elves manage to slowly gain power within the human empires. Those empires start conquering the other continents.
End: Humans revolt against the Elves and become the ruling Species again.

VI: Modern Era

This Era shows a rapid decline in Magic use because technologies are invented that are able to do the same things for a lot less effort.

Beginning: Invention of the steam engine.
Middle: Invention of electricity.
End: Invention of computers.

VII: Future Era

Magic is rediscovered but this time with the advances in science it unlocks completely new ways to use it.

Beginning: Magic based technology is invented. Magic is now not just limited to being used by living beings but can also be used my machines.
Middle: A huge war ends in an apocalypse that wipes out most life in the World.
End: Remains of different Species slowly regain control over a World full of monsters.
