Elf
Overview
Intelligent and long living Species.
Biology
Elves grow up much slower then most other Species, they can take up to the age of 50 to be fully grown. Elves also don’t age at all, it is impossible to tell how old an Elf is based on their looks. If nothing happens to them they can theoretically live forever.
They have a good immune system when they are older since they become resistant against every virus they survive. Their cells are also good at preventing cancer. On top of that their cultural knowledge of medicine and Magic helps them to survive even longer.
But in the end most Elves still die before they reach the Age of 500.
Types
- High Elf
- They are the most snobby of all the Elves. You can easily identify them by their pale white skin.
- They often enslave other species like Humans to do manual labour or fight in wars for them. For them other species are just animals.
- Dark Elf
- They value honour above everything else. They are dark skinned.
- Like High Elves they also enslave other species but unlike High Elves they never use them in warfare. They sometimes even enslave other Elves.
- Forest Elf
- Forest Elves are more free spirted then other Elves. They are a lot more diverse looking since they are a mix between High and Dark Elves. Their skin colour is no indication for their character.
- Unlike other Elves they don’t enslave other species, instead they work together with some of them. Most of them still consider themselves superior to all other species.
- The don’t build any larger settlements and prefer living in smaller groups.
There are also Half Elves which are their own species.
History
Elves were there since the beginning of time. In the beginning all of them were Dark Elves and they lives in small settlements. At one point the Elves split into Dark and High Elves which lead to a centuries long and brutal war. Neither side could claim victory for them so they both settled down in different parts of the world. Forest Elves emerged over time from Elves that did not want to align themselves with either side of the eternal conflict.
Relations
Elves generally rarely ally with other Species but they often make them work for them. They usually don’t mind travellers or traders but it’s basically impossible for other Species to join Elves society.

Magic
Almost all Elves have some Magical potential but only some of them are powerful Magicians. Having enormous live spans means that most Elves learn to use some Magic during their live time, or at last learn how to use magical tools or weapons.
Warfare
Elves have a fighting style that tires to minimise losses. Their preferred weapons are either bow and arrow or spear and shield.
Since Elves live long they often have to fight in multiple wars during their lifetime which gives them more experience. They also cherish their equipment since they know they will likely have to use it again in the future. Having magically reinforces spears is very common and Elven cities do have many blacksmiths dedicated to maintaining those.
- Armour
- Elves use a special Titanium Aluminium Alloy which gives them lightweight but sturdy armour. This material needs skilled blacksmiths to work on. Other Species often use Elven armour but they don’t have to knowledge or skill to modify or repair it.
- Armour is often given some protection against Magic. Usually this protection wears of over time so it if usually applied when preparing for war or sometimes even directly before a battle.
Reproduction
Elves usually only have children after they reach the age of 100 years. This means they reproduce very slowly compared to most other species.
This slow reproduction means they can’t easily replace losses from wars and are generally often outnumbered by enemies.
