Overview

The world is inhabited by many different sentient species, like Humans, Elves, Dwarves and many others.

Why not “Race”

We choose Species over Race because we think they are different enough to not just be different Races. Each Species can have different Races itself. But the different variants of each Species are not always called a Race. Different types of Humans or Elves only have superficial genetic differences while different Centaurs for example can have more significant differences.

In universe the different Species are often referred to as Folk or sometimes People like for example Foxfolk or Fox People.

Types

• Ancient: have been there since the beginning of time
• Animal: originated from animals
• Hybrid: hybrid from Cross Breeding of two species
• Infertile: hybrid species that can not reproduce
